City of Isfahan is one of the most important cities of Iran (Persia) as far as art of weaving is concerned.
Pile of this rug is constructed from a very fine lamb’s wool which is called “Kourk” and highlights of silk. The foundation is made of pure silk and where is visible its woven with the Beehive design at the beginning. Design is Centre Medallion within a large oval shape outer layer, motives are flowers and well designed curvilinear. Main colours are red, navy and cream which work together amazingly. This rug could go on the floor as well as a hanging work of art.
